Several people took advantage of the community tour and open house Saturday to get an inside look at the newly opened Center for Science, Technology and Industry. MCHS administrators explained the planning that went in to the new spaces.
Tours are planned for Aug. 21 and Oct. 2.
Warrior Ready: There was a steady flow of MCHS students Friday at the Upper Campus to pick up books, schedules and other materials in preparation for the first day on Aug. 16. VIP photographers were busy taking 2021-22 student photos.
Pickup events continue Monday.

SPECIAL DELIVERIES: Mrs. Lukas enjoyed dropping off celebratory signs to students who scored a perfect "5" on AP exams. She was one of several MCHS educators out and about Thursday to make the deliveries. Congratulations to all!

Summer school students in Mr. Deener's Spanish 1 class celebrated a job well done Tuesday with a food fair. Each team chose a Spanish-speaking country and made a delicacy from that country to share. Countries represented were Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Paraguay.

The MCHS Band students entertained parade-goers at Lakemoor's July 4 parade on Sunday. The performance was also a great way to welcome new band Director Alyssa Arkin. Congratulations to all!
Congratulations to the MCHS Key Club for earning a Distinguished Club-Diamond Level award from Key Club International. This is a first for the club since the award is given only to clubs that meet certain criteria.

Mrs. Pelletier brought her young scientist Harrison to visit the new Biomedical Science lab where he saw many new tools, including the Anatomage Table.
Plans are in the works for community open house events in early August.

Ms. Theel is ready to welcome blood donors to today's blood drive hosted by the Key Club.
Walk-ins are accepted but there may be a short wait. Open to anyone age 16 and up, the blood drive is from 2-7 p.m. today (Tuesday) in the north parking lot of Upper (West) Campus.
