October: information sent out to middle schools
November: receive recommendation letters from middle schools, informational meetings with students, Program Pitch Night
December: Recruitment Info Night, students submit applications
January- Student interviews, students are selected
What is AVID?
AVID stands for "Advancement Via Individual Determination." AVID is a career and college readiness elective offered to 9th-12th graders that targets students who are in the middle of the academic path.
