After a six month community engagement process, MCHS has rolled out a Portrait of a Graduate as a framework to guide our work and vision for students. Learn more about our Portrait of a Graduate at https://www.dist156.org/page/portrait-of-a-graduate
On Monday MCHS hosted the Fox Valley Conference Leadership Conference. Nine high schools and over 200 students attended. Our Leadership in Action students helped guide and mentor these future leaders. Author, actor and motivator Jesse LeBeau also spoke to students.
Seven students were in the ILMEA District 7 Senior Jazz Festival. Students Coco Levesque, Nathanial Gibson and James Mihevc passed a competitive audition to be in a jazz band made up of the best local musicians. They worked with renowned educators and performed a concert.
Last week Mrs. Pelletier’s Honors Principles of Biomedical Science class kicked off their new unit in clinical care by role-playing a physician and patient medical interview. They practiced showing empathy, tactful demeanor and listening skills. #WarriorReady156
