The MCHS Construction Blueprint Design Team, led by construction teacher Dan Rohman and engineering Teacher Russ Micklinghoff, started work this week on the project to build small Riverwalk Shoppes at Miller Point.
The project is in collaboration with the city of McHenry and the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce. The team of students is facilitated by our WOLD architect, Jonathan Kuzynowski.
The student team hopes to have blueprints for 12-by-12 and 12-by-16 retail shop units by spring so that a prototype can be built in the MCHS Construction and Building Trades lab.
Next fall, MCHS students will be building the shops. Teams of MCHS students are also working on the logo design for the project and marketing plans.
