A team from Warrior Student Media, which is made up of Warrior Weekly, Warrior Yearbook and McHenry Messenger, earned fourth place at the IHSA State Journalism Tournament on Friday in Normal.
This follows a second-place finish in the sectional competition.
The following students placed in the top six at state:
- Brooke Danz (first place in Copy Editing)
- Vanessa Moreno (third place in News Writing)
- Allie Everhart (third in Photo Story Telling)
- Alayna Majkrzak (fourth in Feature Writing)
- Cooper Ten Bruin, Madisyn Spencer and Madison Harvey (fourth in Video News)
