The AVID (Advanced Via Individual Determination) class took a field trip to MCC to see what a first step after high school would look like. Students sat in on an astronomy class, learned about how to prepare for college as high school students and took a tour of the campus.



About 25 students attended a presentation from the College of Lake County's Surgical Technology program Monday in the College and Career Center.
The program prepares students to work in clinical settings arranging equipment, preparing operating rooms and more.
