Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County is in need of high school volunteers to be paired with younger students in the community.

Students from Upper Campus' College and Career Readiness Seminar visited MCC to learn about all their programs: In the first photo, students get hands-on lessons in the manufacturing programs by trying out virtual welding. There was plenty of talent on the menu for the 18th annual Madrigal Dinner shows Saturday at the Freshman Campus. The two-hour performances featured brass and violin musicians, Surround Sound, and the Banquet Brigade performing Renaissance-era music and skits.

NHS has a great event to prep for finals: NHS Cocoa Cram! Students from both campuses can come to the Upper Campus cafeteria from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 19 and receive help from teachers and members. The hot cocoa will be free, but additional snacks can be purchased.
