NEXT WEEK: Get a chance to see what high school life is like from your students' eyes. Parents and guardians are invited to come to the Freshman Campus and Upper Campus to walk their students' schedules and meet staff and teachers. Arrive early to get schedules and find classes.

Dr. Prickett has come up with a new hashtag for our Warriors! Please use #WarriorReady156 whenever you are posting an MCHS photo. It'll be fun to see how many photos we collect by the end of the school year!

Life is full of drama so why not join the club? The Upper Campus Drama Club and Thespian Society will be hosting its first meeting at 3 p.m. Aug. 26 in the UC Auditorium.
Come learn about the club! Contact Mr. Hillier at hillierandrew@dist156.org for more details.

TEAM-BUILDING CHALLENGE: To kick off the school year, Mr. Corzo's Spanish students worked together to build pyramids with plastic cups. Instead of touching the cups with their hands, students used rubber bands and teamwork.
Great job!

SENIOR SUNRISE: About 100 early rising #Classof2022 members enjoyed some time together at the dawn of their senior year at Upper Campus. A Senior Sunset is planned for the end of the 2021-22 school year.

Today is the day! We're so excited to welcome back our students to the new 2021-2022 school year. Thank you to our Connections Crew, faculty, staff and anyone else who warmly greeted students this morning. #WarriorReady156 #BacktoSchool #FirstDayofSchool

On Friday Dr. Prickett sent faculty and staff on a "Goose Chase." This team building activity involved photo and video challenges on campus and around town. One of the many challenges was singing songs over the school intercom. Looks like they had a great time!

Ready for the day: MCHS social science educators gathered at Buddyz early Friday for a power breakfast before a full day of back-to-school preparation. #WarriorReady156

Important Parking Info: All numbered spots in the south entrance at Upper Campus are assigned to students. Students, please only park in the spot number that was assigned to you. Staff, faculty, parents and guests please do not park in any numbered spots. Students, if you do not have a parking spot and tag you are not allowed to park on school grounds.

A special thank you to our 2014 West grad, Sarah Munts, who sent a large donation of coffee to MCHS staff this morning. Sarah is the manager of Rt. 120's Starbucks. Also thank you Crystal (front right) for bringing over the coffee! Stop by and see Sarah and her team sometime.

Teachers are back on campus! Dr. Prickett and Dr. McTague spoke to teachers and staff this morning. They are all preparing for our first day of school this Monday. We can't wait to see you, Warriors! #WarriorReady156

Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's has generously given MCHS a grant of $1,000! Their special events associate, Jennifer Tamburrino, kindly delivered the check to us Thursday morning. This will fund supplies for our new Adventure Education course.

Doing some last minute back to school shopping? TI-84 calculators are required for all math classes. The rest of the supplies are up to the student's personal preference. Some may prefer to use their Chromebook more than a notebook. If there are any supplies needed for a specific class, the teacher will let the students know on the first day. Please see our Facebook page for calculator loan information.

It was wonderful to have students roaming the hallways again at Upper Campus' open house and material pickup. Students were able to open their lockers, pickup their books and walk around to see where their classes are going to be. Can't wait for the 16! #BacktoSchool

Great to see some friendly faces at the sophomore rally today! Sophomores had their own time slot to explore Upper Campus after receiving their schedules. Shoutout to our Connections Crew for showing the sophomores around!

Members of the MCHS eSports Club are wasting no time enjoying the super cool new computer science lab space and equipment in the Center for Science, Technology and Industry at Upper Campus.
We're looking forward to watching all students make use of this new facility!

We had such a fabulous time showing our neighbors around the newly built Center for Science, Technology and Industry, we're looking forward to future open houses. Please mark your calendars for Aug. 21 and Oct. 2, and tell your friends.
Don't miss it!

We loved seeing our freshmen and their families at the rallies yesterday! #StartWithSuccess

Several people took advantage of the community tour and open house Saturday to get an inside look at the newly opened Center for Science, Technology and Industry. MCHS administrators explained the planning that went in to the new spaces.
Tours are planned for Aug. 21 and Oct. 2.

Warrior Ready: There was a steady flow of MCHS students Friday at the Upper Campus to pick up books, schedules and other materials in preparation for the first day on Aug. 16. VIP photographers were busy taking 2021-22 student photos.
Pickup events continue Monday.
