Students in Mr. Micklinghoff's Principles of Engineering class spent this National Engineers Week designing trusses, and making sure the geometric structures can hold weight. They are planning to build their trusses soon.

This week, Culinary 1 students worked together to make pancakes, the second lab in the course. Students practiced their skills in measuring ingredients, following directions and working collaboratively with partners.

Dr. McTague, Mrs. Pelletier and Mr. Lukas were among at least 220 MCHS teachers, support staff and administrators who signed up to be vaccinated on Friday.

Mr. Molina and Mr. Nierman, MCHS autos and technology instructors, are glad to have some students back in the classrooms for hands-on activities. This week, students and teachers were able to investigate different types of machinery and equipment.

Congratulations to Paul Zunkel, Class of 2021, for signing a commitment letter Wednesday to play football at Illinois Wesleyan University.
We are back in action working on our annual musical. Since we are not doing a full show, we are presenting a musical showcase. Sixteen songs from 15 of our favorite musicals will be live on stage this March. More details to come.
