Hallways were buzzing on Monday for the start of expanded in-person learning in District 156 schools. Also, West Campus student council members kicked off their "Start with Hello" week with decorations and treats for students.
Congratulations to Aidan Ferguson, Class of 2020, who recently graduated Marine Corps Boot Camp and earned the title Marine. He will continue his training with the goal of becoming an aviation mechanic in the Marine Corps.

Congratulations to the West Campus PE Department's Outstanding PE Student winners for the third quarter.
These students were selected based on a number of factors, including going above and beyond in their classes. Each student receives a shirt and has their photo on display.
New math and science classrooms in the Center for Science, Technology, and Industry earned high marks again from students Tuesday, which was the first day for West Campus black team students to work in the new spaces.
Monday was a beautiful day for West Campus math classes to start learning in the newly built Center for Science, Technology, and Industry.

We are pleased that our staff members received the second COVID-19 shot on Thursday. With that in mind, and new school reopening guidance, we are working with our feeder districts to plan for expanded in-person learning after spring break.

MCHS students in Forensics science classes are becoming investigators as they examine the "crime" scene for clues. The class for juniors and seniors allows students to collect and analyze evidence.
Christopher Agaton, who graduated early in December, left on Tuesday for Marine Corps Recruit Training in San Diego. He will be a Marine Corps Rifleman in the reserves in the Chicago area, and he'll be attending MCC in the fall.
