Key Club members volunteered at the #Valentine's dance hosted last weekend by the Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association. They decorated the room, and then danced with participants.
Key Club has been volunteering at this event for more than 20 years.

State-bound:
Four McHenry wrestlers qualified for the state tournament, including Emma Garrett, who is the first girls state qualifier for the Warriors. Also going to state are Chris Moore, Pedro Jimenez, and Brody Hallin, who is the first 4-time qualifier in school history.
Last week, AP Psychology students exercised their creative muscles through a collaboration with the MCHS Art Department for a special project to learn more about personalities.

Author Court Stevens visited both campuses Tuesday during #MCHSWritersWeek2022. She repeated the statement, "you matter and you are loved" to our students. Stevens encouraged students to make goals now because she was in high school when she decided she wanted to write a book.
LASO, Key Club and Freshman Student Council have prepared some goodies students can purchase and send to someone they care about! Both campuses be sure to pay attention to what's available for purchase during lunch periods.
THIS WEEK Current 8th grader Course Selection Seminars are February 8 (last names A-K) and February 9 (last names L-Z) 6 p.m. at Freshman Campus. This is a MUST-ATTEND event that will focus on the course selection process, form completion and the summer school Get Ahead program.
MCHS Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble musicians spent a busy day Saturday performing and participating in clinics at the annual New Trier JazzFest.
