Fourteen McHenry Community High School students competed in the recent Illinois Design Educators Association engineering design challenge, and nine qualified for the state competition in April at Illinois State University.
The March 7 engineering design contest took place at McHenry County College, and featured students competing in seven different categories.
The following is a list of students who participated, year in school, and how they placed in their category. Of the list below, Lachlan, Caleb, Noah, Connor, Aileen, Ellie, Paul, Josh and Avery all qualified for state.
