The purpose of the McHenry District 156 Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is to encourage acceptance within the diverse population of our schools. It will create a safe environment while promoting pride in the LGBTQ+ community. It will provide a forum for discussion about issues of sexual and gender identities, and break down the silence surrounding these questions to create a place of support, respect, pride, and safety for the student community of District 156.
